It replaces the conventional keyboard with a totally new idea.The 8pen app does not come with a virtual QWERTY keypad . It divides all the letters into four sectors on the screen. Every quadrants consists of 8 letters or symbols. You have to place your finger in the middle of the screen, and move your finger in a sector. Then rotate your finger around the black dot , you will be toggle available letters inside that sector. Then you can select the desired letter. Even though, sounds like complex, it is very easy to use.
You can craft a gesture to input oft-used phrases like in SlideIT. It also comes with a speech input feature key for Froyo and higher. The predictive text for the speech input is topnotch.
